Todayly Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Data and deletion choicesDay-by-Day Privacy Policy

Rod Software LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Todayly, previously called Day-by-Day, for iOS and Android. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app. Todayly does not require an account or sign-in.

For privacy questions or requests, contact legal@rodsoftware.com.

Tasks, notes, and settings

Your tasks, daily notes, completion status, ordering, dates, unfinished items, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a Todayly server that receives or stores your task or note contents, and we do not send that content to advertisers or use it to personalize ads.

Your operating system may include app data in backups or restore it to another device according to your device and backup settings. If you copy content out of Todayly, the destination app or service handles that copy under its own practices.

Purchases and ad removal

Apple or Google processes purchases through the applicable app store. Todayly uses store-provided product identifiers, purchase or transaction information, verification results, and entitlement status to provide and restore paid access. Android also uses purchase tokens to acknowledge purchases with Google Play. We do not receive your payment-card or bank details, and we do not operate a separate purchase-verification server.

Lifetime ad removal is a one-time purchase. Existing yearly iOS subscriptions continue to be managed through Apple. Purchasing lifetime access does not automatically cancel an existing yearly subscription; you can manage or cancel that subscription in your Apple account settings.

Verified paid access removes both Google banners and our own promotional banners. It does not delete transaction records held by the stores or information previously processed by advertising services.

Advertising and consent services

The free app may display Google AdMob banners or promotions for other Rod Software apps. Todayly uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to provide advertising and manage consent and privacy choices.

These services may collect or process:

  • IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them;
  • advertising identifiers and other device, app, or account-related identifiers;
  • ads shown, ad interactions, and app interaction information;
  • crash reports, performance measurements, and other diagnostics;
  • consent choices and information needed to present privacy messages.

Google uses this information for advertising, including personalization where permitted, measurement and analytics, service operation, security, and fraud prevention. Advertising services may share information with advertising and measurement partners. Some of these uses may qualify as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws. Your task and note contents are not part of this advertising data.

See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Our own promotional banners do not send your task or note contents to the promoted app. Tapping an ad, promotion, or external link opens another service, whose privacy practices apply to your visit.

Privacy controls and platform information

Where available or required, Todayly presents advertising consent messages and provides Settings → Privacy Choices to review or change your choices. Available controls depend on your region, device, and the consent service. Refusing advertising consent does not remove access to your tasks and notes. Non-personalized or limited advertising can still involve data processing; it does not necessarily mean no information is collected.

On iOS, Todayly may request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings. On Android, you can manage your advertising identifier through the device’s advertising privacy settings. Denying tracking or changing an advertising identifier does not delete information already held by a provider.

Where supported and applicable, Todayly obtains age-range and parental-approval signals from Apple or Google to apply privacy and purchase safeguards. We do not ask you to enter a birth date in Todayly or send these signals to advertisers. Age ranges are used during the session rather than saved as an age profile. The app may store update-approval evidence locally, associated with a hashed store transaction identifier. Store country and device region settings help select regional privacy controls; these are not precise-location measurements. Regional advertising choices are saved locally.

Todayly’s task and note features do not require camera, microphone, contacts, or precise-location permission. A keyboard’s dictation features are managed by your keyboard or operating system.

Support, retention, and deletion

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information to respond and resolve your request. Avoid sending sensitive task or note contents unless you want to share them with us. We retain correspondence as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations.

You can edit or delete tasks and notes in the app. Local content and preferences remain until removed through app use, device storage controls, or uninstalling the app, subject to operating-system backup and restoration behavior. Copies in backups or other apps must be managed through those services.

Apple and Google retain purchase records under their own policies. Google retains advertising, consent, and diagnostic information under its policies and applicable settings. Deleting Todayly does not automatically delete those providers’ records.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or object to or limit certain processing. Contact us at legal@rodsoftware.com to make a request about information we control. We do not hold a server copy of your local tasks or notes that we can retrieve or delete for you. You can also use the relevant Apple or Google privacy controls or contact the provider about information it holds. Where applicable, you may raise a concern with your local privacy regulator.

Children

Todayly is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed specifically to children. Platform age and parental signals, when available, help the app apply safeguards. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to us, contact us so we can address it.

Security and processing locations

Todayly relies on operating-system storage protections and encrypted connections for its store and advertising integrations. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Apple, Google, and their service providers may process information in countries other than your own, as described in their privacy policies. See Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy for their practices.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice where required.
